Ethnoacting in VR - an experiential approach to soft-skills development

With 20 years of international experience as an actor and creative, and 15 years as an actor trainer and academic with a focus on inclusivity, I have spent the last decade asking: how can we co-design, apply, and evaluate creative pedagogical interventions that genuinely enhance professional competencies such as cultural competence, resilience, and empathy?

 

This session draws on the multidisciplinary project Ethnoacting in VR: DIY Soft Skills Development to present a framework for developing and assessing creative interventions. It will highlight practical strategies for embedding these approaches into teaching and learning, with applications both within education and across professional contexts.
